About The Book

Sissal Naganos, cobra yervath and diplomat banished to the hinterlands, didn’t ask for an assistant, and he certainly didn’t ask for such an annoying one.

Being an OIL (Onsite Inter-species Liaison) for the Interplanetary Multispecies Pact has never been an easy job. In fact it’s a crap job when stuck on a backwater nowhere planet like Earth.

But cobra Yervath Sissal Naganos manages. The demotion was swift and heavy-handed, but he’ll climb back out of this hell eventually. Humans don’t meet his social needs, so, yes, it’s been lonely and he tells himself he likes the solitude. That is, until IMP sends him an irritating new assistant he never asked for. Now his peace is well and truly disturbed and his paranoid diplomatic reflexes have reawakened. The worst part is the kid didn’t have to be so cute.

The Review

Two diplomats from another world practically banished to Earth and are stuck with each other.  One knows every regulation by heart and has panic attacks if things aren’t clean.  The other has been existing just fine, thank you, and trusts no one after his history in the diplomatic corps.  So of course they are absolutely adorable as they figure out how to live together in tight quarters.

Sissal tries to be super grumpy but his heart is magical.  Rccrd, or Richard on Earth, is super particular but finds he has a soft spot for grumpy cobras.

This story is a quick read.  But Angel Martinez manages to inject humor, sweetness, sexiness, and a plot of political intrigue into the pages.  It is such a fun adventure and a great escape into the IMP Universe.  The plot is interesting all on its own, but with the addition of really well done characters and brilliantly sweet dialog, makes this short story fantastic.  This is a must read for fans of Sci-Fi and romance.

In writing this bio I am taking a rare break from reading! I always have a book on hand just in case there is time to sneak in a chapter or two. As a military spouse and a mom of two boys, it is amazing how often I am hurrying up to wait. Luckily for me I don’t have a favorite genre so I get lots of fun authors to choose from. My education was in sociology and mental health counseling, so stories with strong character development are my favorites. Happily Ever After is the best part of romance for me because real life is hard enough.
