Tel turned onto his side and whispered “I love you, Star” as a loud knocking began. He gave a start, opened his eyes and yawned. The knocking stopped and shouting began. That sounded like the twins. They’d tracked him down. He grinned as they were wolves after all.

“Tel, are you in there!”

Tel got up and dragged on his dressing gown. He left the bedroom and looked down the stairs. “Come in, the doors unlocked,” he shouted down at the door he could see.

The door slowly opened and Gavin peered in. “You sure? The wizard’s not here are they?”

“Only me. Will a witch do?”

Gavin smiled up at him. “Yeah, you’ll do.” He turned to look back over his shoulder. “He’s here, Gar.” He pushed open the door and entered the narrow hallway followed by Gareth. Gareth took in the space. “Hi, Tel. This is so cool. I’ve always wanted to see in here. You sure the wizard isn’t here? What’s on the top floor? Can you see the stars? Have you started breakfast yet? You can cook here, can’t you?”

“Shut up Gar. He’s just woken up.” Gavin gave him a punch in the arm.

“Don’t. That hurt.” Gareth looked up at Tel again. “Looks like he’s been shagging all night. Have you, Tel? He still here? Who is it?”

Tel shook his head. “There’s been no shagging. Just me here. The kitchen is on the right. Go put on a kettle. I’ll be down in five.”

About the Author

Tony is touched by fairies and he does wish they would stop poking him when he walks his dogs. Since he moved to the wilds of Wales things have got no better. Anyway he has made a tentative offer to them. He's gong to write about them, tell their stories and spread a little fae love. They are thinking about it. Tony is not sure they'll approve when they read the tales he's been telling. He's not so worried as he believes he has the dragons on his side. He rather likes dragons in all their shapes and flavours. Whether they feel the same way . . . he's sure they're fine about it.

He's not so into social media but that could change. He could write about his bees, his garden, his wine and beer making but that might imply he's quite good at it while in fact he's more often surprised than anything else when something goes right. (That's not necessarily so when it goes awry.)

Oh yeah. He sometimes writes science fiction as well as fantasy, both he hopes with some romance involved or at least some kind of action or other.
